Blue flame 2005 - 2009

The series was created by capturing images from a film I made in upstate NY on my first day there in 2004. The concept of acceptance, ego, selfishness, cynicism etc etc are invoked in authoritative values of an artisanal nobility. The caustic nature of the composition is not immediately apparent because we are looking at my artwork being burned and then reborn into something new is the basis for this work. Its about letting go and seeing things differently.....
